STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

God has established Renewal Ministries Fellowship to:

• Exalt Jesus - all of our activities and actions are directed towards exalting Jesus. It is His name, not our own, that we desire to magnify. May all the glory for all the awesome things He does in, through and for us be given to God, and Him alone. John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. We fervently desire to see revival (multitudes repenting and turning to Jesus with their whole heart) as we exalt Jesus in our lives and worship (Rom.12:1).
• Foster Christian Unity - welcome and support independent ministers and members along with ministers and members of the various denominations and movements. This support involves: relational support (fellowship, encouragement, develop intimacy, accountability Heb.3:13); spiritual support (prayer and the ministry of the Word Acts 6:4, Eph.6:18-20); governance (servant leadership, promote ministerial integrity and support the uniqueness and God given call on each ministry Mat.20:26...whoever wants to become great among you must become your servant, I Tim.4:16, II Tim.2:15, 4:2, Titus 1:6-9); honour and promote each ministry. We recognise that through the grace of Christ the different denominations have received many gifts and that the Body of Christ may be enriched by these many and varied contributions. Facilitating learning from one another and rejoicing together in the riches of the love of Christ and the manifold wisdom of God. We realise that it is the Lord’s will that the Church of Jesus Christ should give evidence of and seek unity in Him with zeal and love (John 17:22-26, Eph. 4:4-6).
• Disciple - all to become whole-hearted followers of Jesus, being conformed into His image and showing forth His goodness. Such discipleship includes facilitating healing of the wounded within the body of Christ and restoration to His service, including restoring exited pastors. Restoring ministers in their relationship with God and to the freedom to minister as God has called and directs them to, with grace, integrity, love, mercy and Christ's anointing to heal the broken-hearted (Ps.34:17-18, 109: 21-31, 147:3, Isa. 61:1, Gal. 6:1-2).
• Equip - men and women to reach their potential and fulfil their call in Christ Jesus. Provide ministry resources and training opportunities to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ (Eph.4:12).
• Mobilize - members of the body of Christ into their calling and ministry both within their own nation and into all the world. Encourage and assist in locating places of ministry and establishing their ministry in the church for worship and service and out into the world in all the differetn spheres of society for the Great Commission.
